For the AKFCF general session held at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee, our mission was to infuse the vibrant spirit of Nashville into the Presidential Ballroom.
John Murphy, one of our talented producers, described the vision as bringing "a little bit of Nashville into the ballroom." To achieve this, we collaborated closely with our clients and creative team to design an immersive environment. Our centerpiece was a custom scenic guitar piece, which not only added a local touch but also served as a unique backstage entrance for presenters.
The Creative Process: Behind the Custom Scenic Guitar Piece
Creating the custom scenic guitar piece was a labor of love that involved our very talented creative team. The guitar was not just a visual element; it was designed to blend seamlessly with the event's theme and branding. John Murphy explained, "We custom skin [the guitar] with graphics from our creative department to match the theme of the event."
The guitar piece was more than an aesthetic addition; it was a necessary functional element that allowed presenters to make a grand entrance, walking through the hole in the middle of the guitar. This creative approach is what fuels the "Clarity Sauce" and takes engagement to the event, making it unforgettable.
Overcoming Logistical Challenges
One of the significant challenges we faced was accommodating the scenic guitar and a cooking challenge on stage. To meet these requirements, we built a 50-by-16 stage extension onto the existing stage. This extension was crucial for hosting the cooking challenge, where four teams competed to create a special KFC bowl, judged by professionals.
Building such a large stage extension required meticulous planning and coordination. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that the extension was structurally sound and seamlessly integrated with the existing stage. This allowed us to create a dynamic and versatile space that could handle various event segments without compromising on quality or safety.
Technical Setup: Delivering Crisp, High-Quality Visuals and Sound
A crucial aspect of delivering an unforgettable event is ensuring top-notch audio-visual quality. For the AKFCF general session, we flanked the stage with two 13-by-24 large-format 16:9 screens, equipped with double 20K projectors. This setup provided crisp, clear images that enhanced the overall visual experience for the audience.
Our team also ensured that the audio setup was flawless, with high-quality sound routing and control room operation. This attention to detail in both visual and audio aspects ensured that every presentation and performance was delivered with the highest quality, creating an immersive experience for all attendees.
